5 minutes after I finished my last final of my first semester of college, I began to write this post. I'm extremely excited for winter break and the opportunity to blog more and help one of my best friends start a beauty youtube account. Moving forward, I am taking a step back and looking at what makeup I did almost every day this fall. This semester my daily makeup has been all about convenience and the least amount of products, so I can get ready in 10 minutes or less. Thankfully, all semester I had class starting the earliest at 10 am, but next semester every day I have 9 ams. Having a simple and easy makeup routine allows me to get more much needed beauty sleep and get to class on time.

I start off with the Tarte CC under eye corrector. I put this under my foundation since it has a salmon/pinky color to it and I want it to be blended in. This corrector is fantastic at counteracting the blues and purples in my dark under eye circles from the college life. I find the best way to apply this is with a small concealer brush and then blending it in with my ring finger.

Next, I begin applying my foundation. Using either a beauty blender or foundation brush (I like a dense brush) I apply some of the Makeup Forever HD Foundation. My favorite thing about this foundation is how it feels very weightless on face even when I layer the coverage. Most of the time I use a beauty blender so I can sheer it out and really blend it well since I want a more natural look for the day. This foundation blends like a dream while still giving coverage.

Third, I apply my under eye concealer. To many, a corrector and concealer seem a bit redundant, but in total they both take me about a minute to put on. Using the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind and my beauty blender I apply on concealer in a triangle shape. This concealer brightens up my under eyes, hides puffiness, and covers up any last bits of bags. To cut back on time, if I have any problem areas, I will just apply a little bit of the under eye concealer on those spots. With a little blending, you can barely tell it was a brightening concealer meant for the under eyes.

Using the Laura Mercier Translucent powder, I either bake (which is applying a heavy amount of powder to the under eye area, leaving it for a couple of minutes and then wiping off) or just set my face and under eye area. This powder makes your face pore less and keeps your foundation and concealer on all day.

Moving on to the eyes, if I have a little bit of extra time, I will apply the Maybelline Line Stiletto in Brownish Black. I have fair skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair so black liner tends to look very harsh on me. Keeping with a dark brown liner keeps my look natural.

Mascara is a must have and I have been loving the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. A funny name, this mascara has become a holy grail. I love an almost false lash look and I’m fine if it gets a little bit clumpy, as long as my eyelashes are dramatic. With dramatic eyelashes no one can tell it only took you 5-10 minutes to get ready.

Finishing touch, I use the Nars duo in Orgasm and Laguna. Laguna to contour and bronze and Orgasm to pop on the cheeks and I am finished. What I like most about the blush part is the slight shimmer it has so it almost gives me a bit of a highlight. Most times, I sweep a tiny bit of Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop on the tops of my cheek bones, but it sometimes doesn’t happen because I want a simplified makeup routine.

Although writing this it seems like a lot, I swear it’s done in 10 minutes or less, perfect for those 8ams. I am so excited to be finished with my first semester of college and can’t wait for the ones to come.
