My Current Morning Routine 2017

by - Thursday, March 16, 2017

I love reading and watching morning routines. A lot of the time I will find myself in a deep hole of blogs and youtube videos just watching people's morning routines. Today, I wanted to dive in on every part of my routine that makes me more productive and ready for class in the mornings! Some things about my schedule, I have class at 9am every morning Monday - Friday. I also only follow this on the weekday mornings, I have a whole different schedule for weekends! Let me know if you'd love to see it!

7:35 am: My fitbit alarm wakes up and I either grab my phone to check Cosmo's snap story or grab my ipad to watch a youtube video. Depending on how I'm feeling I watch videos/snap storys until 7:40-7:50 am. After I finally roll out of bed, I immediately make my bed. This is something I started my senior year of high school and I do believe that it makes me more productive in the morning! It also encourages me not to jump into my bed until night time.
7:50 am: I go into the bathroom and begin my skincare routine. Let me know if you'd love a full dedicated post to this! Sneak peak, I've been loving the Skin Laundry Brightening Serum with Glycolic Acid
By 8 am, I am finished washing my face and brushing my teeth, so I head back into my room and go to my makeup station. I put on some makeup, mainly tinted moisturizer, concealer, and mascara and get ready to tackle the day. As soon as my makeup is ready to go, I change into my outfit for the day! One of my biggest tips is before you go to bed either lay out clothes or mentally think about what you want to wear the next day. This saves you so much time!
Around 8:15 I head over to my kitchen and make a quick breakfast. Typically, I have either toast with banana and peanut butter, a smoothie and mini bagel, overnight oats, or some eggs. If you'd like a post about my favorite college breakfast recipes let me know!
After I make my breakfast, it is anywhere from 8:20-8:25 and I usually just watch some TV while I eat. For me, it is super important to have some relaxing time in the morning. I take this 15-20 minutes to relax before I have to start my day. I sacrifice 20 minutes of sleep to get myself prepared to be productive and I find it totally helps.
After about 20 minutes of me time, I put on my shoes and brush my hair at 8:40 am. I always take a shower at night/make sure my hair looks good if I don't shower so that I can just wake up, brush my hair, and go. This is another huge time saver for me!
By 8:45, I am headed out the door and on my way to my first class!

I hope you all enjoyed this post all about my college morning routine! If you have any suggestions for future blog posts make sure to leave them below!
